TALENT MANAGEMENT
Raising Your Game
THE
BRIEFING SERIES
AT
A GLANCE
The sourcing of best talent for your organisation is part
of an overall plan to manage good talent. Equally important,
are your strategies to retain, grow and challenge your talent
so that they feel part of something bigger and so that they
believe that they are well regarded and on the path to bigger
and better things.
The aim of this Briefing Series is to give HR the opportunity
to learn from the successes of world class organisations,
to share ideas on practical strategies, to understand what
it means to execute and to network with their peers.
We present a series of three briefings in 2013. Each Briefing
will delve into one key theme of managing talent.
We welcome further ideas on programme development and invite
those interested to submit inquiries if they would like
to be invited on to the guest panel. The programme is currently
in the final stages of confirmation and the detailed programme
of the first Briefing will be updated by end of January
2013.

management – moving from aspiration to reality
There is much research pointing to why talent management is
one of the top business and risk areas in global organisations.
We only need to look at what is happening in our own backyard
to see this pointed reality. While the challenges are multi-faceted
and complex, the plethora of intelligence and viewpoints on
how to tackle this perennial issue are ever increasing. Are
we able to see the wood from the trees? Do we continue to
look outward to external intelligence or are we better off
relying on our own intuition and analysis of the situation
as we perceive it? In our quest to turn into reality, the
goals we aspire to, what are the primary concerns we grapple
with today and how best should we approach them?
Adjunct Professor Khaeruddin Sudharmin, Managing Director
and Chief Executive Motordata Research Consortium (MRC) and
Group Company Secretary, HeiTech Padu Berhad
Having been member of the Board and Chief Executive of MRC
for the last twelve years, Khaeruddin is well poised to tackle
these issues, having been in the driving seat for the strategic
direction and the execution of corporate vision, profit responsibility,
market development, growth, learning and development and sustainability
for his organisation. Simultaneously holding the Chief Administrative
Officer role at HeiTech Padu for the last fifteen years has
further enabled him to have deeper insight into his role as
a leader.
