Anthony
A Sebastian, General Manager, The Datai Langkawi and
Pat Phanekham, Hotel Manager at the Club Saujana Resort Kuala
Lumpur
Archipelago Hotels and Resorts has appointed Anthony A. Sebastian
as General Manager of The Datai Langkawi (a member of LHW),
Malaysia. Anthony, a graduate of the Stamford College, KL,
Malaysia with a Higher National Diploma with First Class Honors
in Hotel & Catering Management, started his career in
the hospitality industry at grass root level. He progressively
and steadily rose up the ranks with a major international
hotel group in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and
Australia, with a most recent assignment as General Manager
in the Philippines.

Hotels and Resorts has also appointed Pat Phanekham as Hotel
Manager of The Club Saujana Resort (a member of LHW), Kuala
Lumpur.An
Australian citizen born in Laos, Pat is a seasoned hotelier
with extensive hospitality experience in the luxury market
and spanning several countries. He has served as General Manager
of the Stamford Plaza Hotel in Brisbane, as well as several
other General Manager positions in the Australia, China and
Indonesia.Pat
also has a distinguished academic career, and holds a degree
in Business Administration from the University of Hong Kong,
a Business and Accountancy Diploma at Institute of Technology
in South Australia, and is a Certified Hotel Administrator
(CHA).

Dr
Rajeshree Parekh, Director of Health and Corporate Wellness,
Asia Pacific, Towers Watson
Asia-Pacific | Towers Watson announced in early August 2011,
the appointment of Dr. Rajeshree Parekh as the Director of
Health and Corporate Wellness for Asia-Pacific. Dr. Parekh,
a seasoned clinical practitioner with rich experience across
Asia-Pacific as a senior executive in the health care consulting
business, will lead Towers Watson’s Health and Corporate
Wellness business. Dr. Parekh will be based in Singapore.

Gerard
St Maria, General Manager, Impiana KLCC Hotel
Kuala Lumpur | Impiana Hotels and Resorts Management announced
on July 13, the appointment of Gerard Sta Maria as the new General
Manager of the 335-room Impiana KLCC Hotel. Sta Maria brings
with him more than 24 years of local and overseas hospitality
experience, including 10 years as General Manager in hotels
and resorts located in Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia.
A
seasoned hotelier with pre-opening experiences of seven international
hotels and resorts, he will take on the responsibility of
overseeing the expansion plan of the Impiana KLCC Hotel with
a strong focus on continuous improvement in the guests’
experiences offered at the hotel.Sta
Maria started his hotel career in Food & Beverage in 1987
and moved up the ranks holding senior management positions
from special projects, marketing and hotel operations with
leading international hotel brands.Prior
to his new appointment, Sta Maria was the General Manager
of Impiana Hotel Ipoh, where he was responsible for the refurbishment
and re-branding of the iconic hotel in Ipoh.

Mohamed Parrish Ersalle
Bin Abdul Hameed, Chief Human Resources Officer, Prudential
BSN Takaful Berhad
Two
months into his new role at Prudential BSN Takaful, Parrish
is responsible for the overall development and implementation
of Human Resource strategies and plans to support the Company's
business objectives. The role encompasses leading people,
HR planning and sourcing, organisational development, performance
management, compensation and benefits management, learning
and development as well as industrial/employee relations.
Aided by a team of seven HR colleagues, Parrish replaces Samsudin
bin A. Rahman who left on 4 May 2011.
With more than 20 years in Human Resources, Parrish was formerly
the Group Head of Human Resources Division at Allianz Malaysia
Berhad where his scope encompassed the two subsidiaries of
Allianz (Allianz General Insurance Company and Allianz Life
Insurance Malaysia ). There, he led a team of 20 HR colleagues
and was accountable for a workforce of 1,500. Parrish holds
a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Honours) from
the International Islamic University. |
