Associates Strengthens Southeast Asia Business with “One-Market”
Model
June
09 Malaysia
| Hewitt Associates, a global human resources consulting company
today announced a re-organising of its Southeast Asia business
to a “one-market” operating model. This “one-market”
model will allow the company to leverage and maximize the strengths
and capabilities of its talents across the Southeast Asian countries,
and focus more on delivering best quality solutions to clients
in the local markets efficiently and effectively.
“The decision to move to a “one-market” model
followed a world-wide company review. While our Southeast Asia
market has significant growth potential, it also presents us with
some significant challenges in responding effectively to the growing
expectations of our clients - related to quality, speed and value
- in each of the countries we service. We recognised that to overcome
these challenges, internal transformation is required. The transformation
will strengthen and improve the high impact for our clients that
come on the back of a more synergized and leveraged model,”
said Mr. Alan Parker, Business Market Lead, Hewitt SEA.
Hewitt SEA
market comprises Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and
Thailand. Previously, these countries operated as individual markets,
serving clients in their respective geographies. With the new
model, the countries will combine their resources to deliver robust,
seamless and consistent solutions to clients as well as maintaining
the customized and unique requirements of our clients at each
of these locations.
Under the
new SEA operational model, the business will be managed under
two solution streams; Performance & Rewards, and Leadership
& Engagement/Culture. These solution areas will be supported
by an Actuarial, Base Compensation and Research Center, and a
Client Delivery Center managed out of Kuala Lumpur.
“The new model will allow our dynamic consulting team to
work closer with Hewitt’s esteemed and progressive clients
and offer HR solutions that are tailored to meet their business
needs and drive better results which will see them beyond the
current economic situation,” said Ms Persis Mathias, SEA
Client Delivery Leader.
Mr.
Parker added, “Organisations in Malaysia are very focused
on improving their HR effectiveness, process and capability for
the next wave of growth. We are committed to partner and grow
with these organisations in this journey.”
The new operation
model will take effect in October 2009. Mr. Alan Parker will continue
as SEA Business Market Lead. Performance & Rewards will be
managed by Mr. Kulshaan Singh, SEA Performance & Rewards Business
Lead, and Leadership & Engagement/Culture will be spearheaded
by Ms. Jacqueline Gillespie, SEA Leadership, Engagement &
Culture Business Lead. The support centres will be led by Mr.
Surendran Ramanathan, SEA Actuarial, Base Compensation & Research
Center Lead and Ms Persis Mathias.
