Valley Group's CSR Activity

Dec 2009 Kuala Lumpur
| Recently, staff from the Revenue Valley Group of Companies got
together and organized a day of fun-filled activities with the
under-privileged at the House of Joy. Established in 1992, the
House of Joy is a social concern and a non-profit charitable home
that administers shelter, care and training to orphans, children
and teens who are underprivileged, abused, abandoned & neglected,
poor, and delinquent. Besides the Children’s Home, they
also give shelter and care to some underprivileged and destitute
old folk.
Patrons of the Home were treated to a scrumptious meal from The
Manhattan FISH MARKET and Tony Roma’s. They were served
the signature Fish ‘n Chips in Garlic Butter sauce together
with a variety of seafood from The Manhattan FISH MARKET as well
as some Pizza and Barbecue Chicken from Tony Roma’s. Food
products, groceries and stationery were also donated to the home
courtesy of generous business partners and staffs.
According to George Ang, the Managing Director of Revenue Valley
Group, “This activity is in line with the Group’s
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) philosophy of ‘Making
a Difference’. Most of the time, people are busy with their
work and tend to neglect the world around them especially in making
a difference at the social level and this time around, the philosophy
is strengthened with a stronger call-to-action, ‘Stop, Look
and Make a Difference’..”

“This ongoing effort of giving back to the society is in
accordance with the various charitable activities such as ‘I
Love Turtle’ for The Manhattan FISH MARKET and ‘Soup
Kitchen’ for Tony Roma’s. As the core values of the
company are ‘Caring, Passionate, Perseverance, Integrity
and Innovative’, we constantly remind our staff to live
up to these standards be it at work or in their own time,”
added Jason Lim, the Chief Marketing Officer of Revenue Valley
Group.
“We are very blessed and thankful to the Revenue Valley
Group for making time for our patrons here today. Your efforts
definitely put a smile on each and everyone’s face and I
hope to see this tradition being assimilated in every member of
the public to spread the bliss in giving just like the Revenue
Valley staff, by taking time off their busy schedule to Stop,
Look and Make a Difference within their life,” said Leslie,
the Head of House of Joy in gratitude to Revenue Valley’s
contributions.
