Leadership Development Programme to prepare for the future
ICLIF launches new signature programmes to support corporate leaders and high performing managers

26 Jan 2010 Kuala Lumpur |The International Centre for Leadership in Finance (ICLIF) have designed new and improved Global Leadership Development Programmes and High Performers Leadership Programmes to cater to the needs of corporate leaders in Malaysia and in the region.

Tan Sri Megat Zaharuddin, Board member of ICLIF, in his keynote address said, “Successful companies understand that leadership development is a long term game and investing in employees isn’t a luxury- it is a necessity.” He further added that leadership development has to be part of a comprehensive, strategic talent management programme linked to company’s succession planning efforts and to its strategic objectives and business plan.

Mr. David Winfield , the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer, ICLIF said “ the GLDP and HPLDP programmes are designed to help companies in Malaysia and the region fill a gap in their talent management programmes. It helps senior executives and middle managers understand what leadership in Asia is all about, the challenges, the strengths, the gaps and what they might do to address them.”

ICLIF organized its first ever launch of its signature events to introduce its programmes, which was attended by about 100 Heads of Human Resources and Chief Executive Officers.

The International Centre for Leadership in Finance (ICLIF) was established as a not-for-profit corporation by Bank Negara Malaysia in October 2003 to provide leadership development programmes for Malaysian and global senior executives from financial institutions and business corporations. ICLIF designs and delivers a series of competency-based programmes aimed at addressing the needs of the market and to reinforce the leadership capabilities of senior executives to enable them to meet the challenges of the marketplace and to take their organizations to higher levels of performance.
