From the Editor's Desk

Aug 09 | Thanks for your support! For those of you who attended the magazine's inaugural 2009 HR Forum, it was a resounding success.

Although we are still processing the
evaluations and going through your comments, a quick look has shown that it's been an overwhelming success from both a format and content perspective.

We're aiming to take some of the feedback and discussion into the October issue of the magazine and even online on our discussion board.

MAGAZINE JOBS PORTAL

The jobs portal on the magazine website has been launched for some time now. You now have the ability, as an employer, to reach both active and passive candidates online in the field of HR. This presents a one-stop service for employers to advertise and source applicants for HR positions.
Further, it allows HR professionals to plan their career movements as well and see what positions are available..... and it's a completely free service. You can get further information on how to go about posting new HR positions online at our magazine website by clicking on the link above.

Alternatively, give us a call.

Doug Shadbolt
Our next conversation on the HR Matters magazine group on LinkedIn brings us to Doug Shadbolt. Doug wrote a very interesting and practical piece on how HR can contribute to the
bottom line in these tough times, illustrating

this quite effectively with an organisational situation he was involved in some time ago. He looked at the solutions they considered and the detail involved in making it happen.

Doug is Managing Director of Human Resource Dimensions Pty Ltd, an Australian HR consulting firm he founded 13 years ago. He's very kindly agreed to be part of our discussion on LinkedIn and will be available until the first week of September to discuss comments on his article and any questions you may have of him.
Join us on LinkedIn to be a part of this discussion.
