Let
me start by telling you how this got started. Back
in March this year, we decided to run an on-going
survey with HR professionals nationwide. The survey
is short and focuses on one thing : what are your
top three concerns right now. If we can help to address
these timely concerns of yours right now, via the
articles we publish and the opinions we canvass, then
we would have succeeded.
If we can help address these concerns in a focused
yet practical gathering of professionals, we get one
step closer to learning that we can apply.
Supported by growing interest in the magazine producing
such a HR Forum, we're running this event in the 2nd
week of August. More details will be updated shortly.
In the meantime, what can you expect to this forum
to be about?
- CONTENT
>> focused on solving
dilemmas currently faced. The aim is to provide
handy tips, ideas, strategies that you can immediately
take back and put in action. This is not a theoretical
exercise
- EXPERIENCE
>> focused on opening
up the discussion to everyone
in the room. Its a forum centred on learning, not
teaching. Working off the ideas and experiences of
the collective. Where sharing and exchange is positively
encouraged. It is not for the presentation of one
truth, but many
- FORMAT
>>focused on overhauling
how information is discussed and presented
for better absorption. We're not looking at static
one speaker presentations with powerpoints galore
but group dialogue, role-play, coaching sessions,
mini-workshops and live interviews.
|
| We
are very open to collaborating with you, to give you something
valuable. So, to see how you can help in the formation
of this Forum, please contact me at editor@hr-matters.info.
