First Globally Recognised Human Resources Professional Certification in Malaysia
Memorandum of Agreement between Asia e University and Kelly OCG

25 Mar 2010 Kuala Lumpur | Kelly Outsourcing and Consulting (KellyOCG) and Asia e University (AeU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at Prince Hotel Kuala Lumpur on 24 March 2010, for a partnership that leverages on the reputation and reach of a multinational university and the expertise of the global corporation to bring the first Global Professional Human Resource (GPHR) course to Malaysia. Estimated to run four times a year, this programme is approved for claims under the human resource development fund given by Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB) and licensed by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world's largest HR professional association.

“This collaboration with Asia e University is instrumental in our on-going commitment to the development of HR professionals in the markets which we serve. Malaysia is a cornerstone of our Asian footprint and we are delighted with the opportunity to support the community with this programme.” comments George Corona, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Kelly Services Inc.

Offered and marketed through AeU exclusively at AeU’s campus and delivered by KellyOCG's Global Practice Leader for HR Consultancy, this first year collaboration is targeted to begin its inaugural class in May 2010. At RM6750 per participant, the four day professional programme is aimed at executives planning to sit for the SHRM exam for global certification, or for professionals who need a fast and deep immersion in the issues of global human resource management.

Raja Anthony Devadoss, Regional Senior Director of KellyOCG in APAC adds, "The profile of Human Resource executives is evolving. The needs of Malaysian organizations that are globalizing require HR professionals with an understanding of the world outside our borders. HR executives must take a more holistic view of their discipline... the GPHR Prep class will deliver that.”

“Asia e University is very pleased with this collaboration with KellyOCG in forming this partnership for the delivery of the Global Professional’s Human Resource (GPHR) course. This programme in Malaysia will augur well for Human Resource practitioners to gain an internationally recognised certification. The upgrading of specialist human resource skills complements remarkably well with the Malaysian Government’s aspiration of developing specialised human capital,” concludes Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ansary Ahmed, President/CEO Asia eUniversity.

Asia e University is a flexible multinational university officially established in April 2007. The establishment of AeU is an initiative of Malaysia, as a prime mover for e-education, with the support of the 31 Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) member countries.
