Road
to Career Expo 2011 (CE2011) is heating up with the participations
from big industry players in Malaysia, as AirAsia Bhd is joining
many luminaries in the industry as one of the exhibitors.
To be held
from 18th to 20th March, 2011 in KL Convention Centre (KLCC),
and organised by JobsDB Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Career Expo 2011 has
already got commitments from AirAsia, Sunrise Bhd, Honda Malaysia
Sdn Bhd, Pharmaniaga Bhd, MAA Assurance Bhd, & Smart E-Learning
Network. This will be the first time AirAsia is joining the CE2011.
“We
are proud that Asia’s biggest low cost airline is joining
us for the fair,” says Vincent Koo, Executive Director of
JDB Holdings Limited, JDB’s parent company. “That
too fresh from its CEO winning the Forbes’ Businessman of
the year award.”
Following
the success of its Career Expo 2010, held earlier in May this
year, exhibitors and participants alike can expect The Better
Job Fair next year to be still as Efficient and Effective being
a perfect matching platform for both parties.
For Career
Expo 2010, the event saw participations from the likes of Maybank
Bhd, HSBC, RHB, ecmLibra, Allianz Malaysia Bhd and OSK Investment
Bank, Telekom Malaysia Bhd, Maxis Communications Bhd, DiGi Telecommunications
Sdn Bhd, HeiTech Padu Bhd, Silverlake Axis Sdn Bhd, Mimos Bhd
and Scicom (MSC) Bhd among others.
CE2011 will
follow the tradition of its previous fair, and utilise state of
the art technology which is the first and perhaps the only job
fair in the country that is paperless. “The fair is powered
by a proven and world class software solution allowing seamless
process from registration to job application,” Koo noted,
adding that job candidates will be given “bar-coded”
registration card and all they need to do to apply for a position
is to get “scanned”.
Job candidates’
resumes would already be pre-loaded in JDB’s portal and
the scanning process will automatically upload the candidates’
resume into the exhibitors’ database. This will allow both
the candidates and participating employers can walk in and out
of the job fair paperless!.
