of London “Emerging Guru” Joins ICLIF Senior Faculty

Lumpur | Sweetman is the latest addition to the growing list of
professional and recognised faculty members who have been selected
to join ICLIF in its endeavor to develop a new generation of world-class
leaders.

are thrilled to have Ms Sweetman on the team” said ICLIF’s
CEO, Rajeev Peshawaria. “As a seasoned consultant and entrepreneur
who has worked on large leadership change initiatives over the
past 20 years, Kate will bring so much to the table in ICLIF.
She is co-author of The Leadership Code: Five Rules to Lead By,
and was a former editor at Harvard Business Review focusing on
leadership. Her work has been published in Forbes, The Times (of
India), and Sloan Management Review. We are certain that with
Kate’s contribution, ICLIF will reach greater heights; especially
in our promise to deliver quality leadership development programmes
and advisory services” he added.

Kate
Sweetman, who is also the President and Founder of Sweetman Consulting
said “I am very pleased to join this faculty here at ICLIF
which has extensive experience, expertise and a proven track record
of leadership. We will work closely together to take the ICLIF
brand from strength to strength, and are committed to driving
excellence throughout the organisation”.
Kate Sweetman is both a consultant for global
corporations and a coach to entrepreneurs in the developing world.
In both cases, her focus is on the intersection between excellent
leadership and successful business results.
She also works with The Legatum Center at MIT, where she was a
Lecturer and is currently a Visiting Scholar, coaching graduate
students who are developing for-profit, sustainable businesses
in Africa, India, Asia and Latin America. Kate is co-author of
The Leadership Code: Five Rules to Lead By (now in 14 languages),
and writes a popular blog on leadership and diversity for FastCompany.Com.
She is a former editor at Harvard Business Review and has been
published in Forbes, The Times (of India), and Sloan Management
Review, and has appeared on “Street Signs” on CNBC.
The Times of London has designated Kate as an Emerging Guru for
her work in leadership. She is a board member of the Bali Institute
based in Ubud, Bali – a leadership learning center for Asian
NGOs and international students. Kate received her MBA from Harvard
Business School and her BA from Yale University.
The
ICLIF Leadership Centre was established as a not-for-profit
corporation by Bank Negara in October 2003 to provide leadership
development programmes for Malaysian and global senior executives
from financial institutions and business corporations. ICLIF now
has two divisions: Leadership Development and Corporate Governance,
and among the products they offer are open enrolment & custom
programmes, leadership advisory services, executive coaching and
cutting-edge research in both areas.
