ICLIF
launches Leading Voices
Platform to
share leadership realities
27 May 2011
Kuala
Lumpur | The ICLIF Leadership and Governance Centre (ICLIF) launched
on 23 May 2011 Leading Voices, a new global thought leadership
platform whose aaim is to expose experts, leaders and top executives
to ICLIF's original research and world-class published thinking.
The inaugural session of Leading Voices was hosted by Bank Negara's
Governor and ICLIF's chairman, Tan Sri Dato' Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar
Aziz, who also delivered the keynote address. Air Asia's Group
CEO Dato Sri Dr Tony Fernandes was also a key speaker, who shared
his practical insights on business during this session.
The fully-booked event was held at the Shangri-la Hotel Kuala
Lumpur and was attended by more than 400 business leaders, entrepreneurs
and government officials.
Leading Voices is the latest initiative of ICLIF's, which encompasses
published research and thinking, customised seminars, open forums,
regional and global summits, broadcast media events, digital content,
and an online community. This year, ICLIF is embarking on an ambitious
plan to bring Leading Voices to several markets including India,
the Middle East, Indonesia, Singapore and China and has already
laid out a series of talks and leadership development presentations.
The inaugural session was also the launchpad for Too Many
Bosses, Too Few Leaders - the most recent internationally
published book from an ICLIF faculty, written by their CEO, Rajeev
Peshawaria, published by Schuster and Schuster. Part playbook
and part an experienced guide through the world of leadership,
the book outlines the process to unlock the leadership potential
inside those who not only lead companies but run divisions, head
up teams and work in leading roles across their companies every
day.
Speaking on Leading Voices, Peshawari said, "Unlike typical
leadership forums, Leading Voices harnesses ICLIF's proprietary
research to inspire a community of diverse leaders from around
the world to come together - physically and virtually - to exchange
action-based thinking and learn how to lead real transformation
and affect sustainable growth in their own organisations".
